Sara Himeles

Sara recently completed her second year of rabbinical school at Hebrew College. Previously, she wrote for Seventeen Magazine and a tech company, and was a political appointee at the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security. Then, on one fateful evening in a class with Rabbi Lawrence Kushner, Sara realized she wanted to become a rabbi to pursue her newfound goals of teaching Torah. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Communications & Public Service, minor in Creative Writing.  Outside of studying Judaism, Sara enjoys cooking, writing, music, and playing tennis.
