David Kasher

David Kasher is the Senior Rabbinic Educator at Kevah, a Bay Area-based organization dedicated to expanding the role of Torah Study across the diverse spectrum of the American Jewish community. He was raised in Oakland, went to college at Wesleyan University and, after several years in various yeshivot in Israel, he attended rabbinical school at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah in New York and was ordained there in 2007. He received his Doctorate from Berkeley Law in 2016, studying Comparative Legal Theory, and will be returning there in the Spring of 2018 as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Jewish Law.
